Absolutely shocked by this.

I purchased a digital key for BF1 DLC around 3 weeks ago. I tried to input the cd into Origin and it said it had already been redeemed. I opened a ticked with G2A to report that this particular seller had sold me a used cd key. The way it then works is you and the seller leave one message at a time asking questions in an attempt to come to a resolve.

The seller asked me to get in touch with EA/origin and ask when the cd was used. I asked EA/Origin and they said they wern't permitted to give this detail. They did however ask me when I purchased the key and when I told them they confirmed the key was redeemed a long time before the purchase date, which confirms it has been used prior to the sale.

I sent the screen shots of the web chat showing this to G2A and their seller for which he replied, he still needs the date and time of it being redeemed. At this point it proves G2A don't even read these messages or look inito the case what so ever as EA/Origin have already stated they won't reveal this information.

I went back to them stating they are basicaly not reviewing this case in detail and making no real effort to help the buyer. Anyway I said re-read my previous messages as this is going no where and the seller is dragging this out.

The seller had to repsond today with his final message before G2A decided the outcome.

The seller didn't respond after weaiting two days and then they messaged me to say the ticket has been closed in the sellers favour.

I paid £30 ish pound, purchased a used cd key and G2A ruled in their favour.............

I paid by Paypal and have contact them already, just wanted to make sure people are aware of this sham of a company and how they run business!

They're resellers and don't have the keys themselves and insist that you're only covered if you take out their 'insurance'. Don't buy from them!

Thats pretty sucky, never used G2A myself so havent got any experiences of them, I only use Kinguin and CDKeys but thats pretty poor from G2A.

Who was the payment made to? Because I'd say that regardless of them only being a reseller, if the payment is made to G2A then the contract of sale is betwixt the customer and G2A. Therefore, under the Consumer Rights Act, they'd be obligated to offer a replacement code.

Did you not check the reviews prior to using G2A? This isn't a new development, they are notorious for selling illegally acquired keys etc.

Another burnt by G2A..

I know it's cheaper than the rest but instead/next time look at Gamesplanet, Green Man Gaming, Humble Bundle etc. NOT resellers, use official distributions.

There's umpteen people scammed/conned whatever by G2A/Kinguin and alike. Look them up on Youtube and you'll see how bad it is.

Kinguin is the same, a key reseller.

Yeah, I'm aware they are the same, but so far I have bought something like 60+ games from Kinguin and not been scammed once, so perhaps Kinguin are somewhat more reliable.

EDIT : coo...just looked on my Kinguin account and I've actually bought more than I thought, 82 purchases lol

If you don't pay with either Paypal or CC then you leave yourself open to this, with grey key sellers you always need that protection and with it having done over 100+ transactions for keys I've never had a problem.

All the bad stories about G2A, suprised people actually use them

Never had a problem with cdkeys, double digit purchases all flawless.

so what is this, a site to get cheap ie rip-off cd keys? and people are surprised when things like this happen?
sincerely doubt Paypal would be of any use, i've had fights w/ them before and they don't class a CD key as a physical object.

I've never had issues with cdkeys or CJS keys before. If you used paypal it will be easy to get a refund if you have a record of the conversations etc.
