ok so i have a canon mx860 which i use as a network printer and network scanner...

the printer works fine over ethernet just by using the standard printer drivers, but is there anyway i can just install the canon scan drivers and then scan straight into photoshop, or bridge or whatever?

i have CS4 so if i can use that in anyway instead of the canon mickey mouse software it would be much better, anyone have any idea if i can do this?

using which option out of interest? i have 5 options under import none of which seem to relate to a scanner?

i've read that to do this i need to install a photoshop plugin, but can't find one on the canon site... any ideas where i would find this? google ain't being much help

Hmmm, on Windows mine lists itself automatically as Epson DX3800 Scan, and you can also use the WIA option to scan it using the built-in Windows software. I'm not sure what to suggest really.
