Just a quickie, I've laid my hands on my granddads old photos taken during the war and afterwards, and frankly they're looking a bit jaded. I think my aunt has left them in direct sunlight or in something that doesn't protect from UV at least.
Anyway, I want to get these scanned now. What would a decent scanner be these days? I used to have a cannon scan thing that was fine for this sort of thing. I don't want to spend a fortune as I've got to set up a website next week, so that's going to cost me.
Oh and a woman in work has been left a load of Canon and Nikon lenses (and oddly two Pentax cameras, but no Nikon or Canon cameras) by her uncle who was a bird watcher so I may be skint for a long time if I can wangle getting those off her
