Scanning with Avast

Hi

Today I did a full scan and it said that it could not access some files.

some of the files were like
C:\$Windows~BT\....... (all of them had that start)

I think it's the Windows 10 download, at least I hope it is!

You should delete that if you upgraded to Win10, info here http://www.thewindowsclub.com/delete-windows-bt-ws-folders-windows-10 .

Is it safe to delete $Windows.~BT & $Windows.~WS folders

$Windows.~BT and $Windows.~WS are temporary folders and can be safely deleted.

I havent upgraded to windows 10 yet so do you think the files are ok?

The reason Avast can't scan/access them is because of the protection placed on them by MS (you can only delete the whole lot through disc cleanup).
