DONT USE WASHING UP LIQUID!
You water will taste like washing up liquid, use like those Milton tablets or something you use for sterilising babys bottles and stuff.
If not, rinse it out with hot water, done!

Not too hot however, could damage the bag/pipe.

Are you sure it's wise to walk up a mountain when you've got a monster hangover and can't work out how to clean a camelbak?

wise enough everyone else should be sober, were doing the 3 peaks in 2 weeks just need to check out this since none of us have gone before.

I don't think other people being sober is going to affect your physical condition, which is whats at question. Cold weather, or hot weather, (not familiar with the peak myself, assuming its big) heavy exertion = sweating, dehydrated before you even go from a hangover and not being anywhere near peak condition. Generally its a bad idea to go up the side of a mountain when you're dehydrated before you start.

OF course, if its a peak thats an hour or two max to the top, its not going to be that tough, if its something thats a 3 hour trip each way on a ridiculously hot day, going up with a hangover is just stupid.

I've washed loads of bottles and stuff out with washing up liquid and never had a problem, maybe you're doing it wrong? ;)

Scafell Pike is not that hard but ascending it with a hangover is tough, I did it a couple of years ago but it was a nice cool day, it was quite warm up the Lakes yesterday afternoon so it's gonna hurt :p
