The Shining and Alien are the scariest films I've seen. Sure they're not gory (but then gore isn't scary) or shocking but they're both extremely chilling and masterfully made.

Aye same here, I've seen a lot of the films people usually mention as being 'OMG POOP YOUR PANTS SCARY' but Threads really freaked me out at the time (they showed us it in R.E at School when we were about 13 :rolleyes:

I watched that the other month and i was just :rolleyes:

Obviously back then it might of freaked you out a bit, but nowadays you can see the shoddy effects

Threads is not chilling due to the special effects it's all down to the prospect that it could happen.

Indeed, and 'back then' i was 1!

I watched it on vhs when i was about 18. It is terrifying. If you were :rolleyes:

about it then you didn't quite get the point of it tbh.
