Scart Leads?

Will i get a noticable improvement on picture or sound quality by replacing my cheap scart lead from my Sky+ box to my Sony CRT with a high quality one (costing £20-£30)?

There will be an improvement but whether you will notice I cannot say.

I would recommend a Philex Thor Scart for around £20.

I purchased a Thor scart lead off here in the MM can recommend them

IMO the image seems sharper; off course doesn’t mean you will see a difference. What’s £20

No other way off finding than trying one.

Optical out for the sound. RGB scart is the best without heavy modification of the box.

I've noticed an improvement on all 3 Tvs i have seen that use the Thor. Well recommended, can get for £17 delivered

I switched the scart cable that came with the sky+ box for a Thor scart recently and can't say I noticed any difference on my Samsung LE40M87BD. Needed a longer cable anyway but as it didn't have an angled connector on the thor it's a bit of a tight fit behind the wall mounted tv.

Stock Sky+ has RGB scart at best which CRT's have had for donkeys.

Modded Sky+ has component out which top end CRT's have also had for donkeys.

Managed to get the Thor scart cable for £15.98 so we will see how it goes!!!!
