Well if you've got an RGB Scart Socket you'll get a much better picture quality. :)
I'm not entirely sure if I'd notice the difference :o Might see payday though. Are the Logitech ones ok, or should I stick with the official one? Logitech one's half the price of the MS one :D

You'll definately notice the difference if your only running Composite at the mo, do you mean the Joytech one, as thats the one ive got, and its a cracking lead. :)

deffo notice a difference so much better on the tvs ive used it on. The joytech has the audio connections tho which makes it easier to put it thru ya stereo :)

Yeah I did mean the Joytech one :o
Not got a stereo so sound benefits don't really matter. I'll have a think about it though. :)

Now there's a bit of luck, just found an official Advanced Scart Cable for £8.47 inc delivery :D
I can afford that :)

How are you getting on with the new switcher then?
I'm tempted to buy one tonight if there's definately no loss in image quality as a result! Need to fit STB, Xbox360 & DVD player into RGB scart

It's this one right?

Yeah thats the one, but its out of the old catalogue, in the new catalogue the number relates to a one like i took back which is poop, but if your lucky they may still have those ones if they have some left in stock, the new one will probably replace the Hitachi one when they have none left, luckily for me they still did have, just have a look when it comes out. :)

Its working brilliant, no problems at all, no loss of image quality either, was well worth the money. :)

So it's the one in the picture with 3 scarts? I'll reserve one online, then pick it up tonight.

What's the box look like so I can check I get the right one at the shop?

Just picked mine up, but I can detect a slight loss in quality.

From a distance it looks the same, but in fact there's a fine mesh type effect over the top that moves around a bit. Subtle, but annoying enough for me to return it I think :(

I guess it's common sense that says if you add an extra length of cable and 2 connections then you'll lose something

Thats odd, as i said ive got no loss of quality at all, definately don't see any fine mesh. :(

As I've said it's very subtle to my eye, but noticeable if a lot of colour is on screen.

Instead i've now got Xbox 360 on RGB, then STB with s-video in SCART2.
If I want to play DVDs i'll put the DVD-player on RGB.

The first two I use daily, so only when I have to watch a dvd will I have to lean round the TV. :p

I normally have my Sky switched off when im on the 360, but when my mothers back off holiday she'll have it on, as ive got it going down into the kitchen of the RF 2 out for her, and one of those magic eyes so she can change the channels to, but ive just switched em both on, and had a flick, went right up to the screen, and ziltch, both perfect with no loss at all, i even had my Sky on before i put the 360 on to see if when it came on thre would be a slight change in the Sky picture, but nope. :)

Suppose it could be different for everyone, some may not have probs, others might as seen here.
