I didDid you level out the balance in Windows first?
Yeah I thought this might be a problem too.Setting the left right balance in Windows is not ideal, as although it's fine when using just those speakers, once you get a headphone amp, the balance for that and the headphones will be out.
Good idea, just tried with a laptop, still the same. Trying it with this laptop and messing about with Windows volume etc, shows fairly consistently I need to drop the left speaker balance by 16-20%.Can you try the speakers with something else like a smartphone or laptop to see if the issue is still present? At least that would confirm for certain it is a speaker issue and not something with the PC. If it's still there, best return them for a replacement pair.
Cheers rids57If you are using the motherboard audio then the speakers must be at fault as the mobo volume is digital, which makes an imbalance all but impossible (barring a fault).
Good advice from Hedge. I'd forgotten about the Sennheiser outlet store. Products bought from the outlet store also come with a 2 year warranty, same as new products.
650's are £250 and the 600's are £207. Not bad at all given the current cost of brand spanking new from the jungle site, etc.
