SCOM and SCCM:

They won't really use Ghost for multi-site as they bought Altiris which is used for doing that kind of stuff. It's also great for doing the after deployment part (i.e. joining it to a domain, deploying extra software, etc.)

Altiris also uses the Ghost backend which means its far quicker than it used to be.

Using SCOM and SCCM and I think they're superb products - do exactly what they say on the tin! Also a lot easier to setup than they used to be (SMS was very fidly when we first did it).

Yeah if you've bought and paid for Altiris then that's food to use, as you say basically the same as ghost for image deployment but probably able to do more advanced stuff (no idea what though). We did look at it but that woudl have been £25k compared to Ghosts £5k :)
