Hi
Do you say scone as "skon" (rhymes with gone) or "scone" (rhymes with tone)?
I recon its skon... its too ... posh... saying scone as "scone"

. So posting here to see what most people say. Poll maybe? And if i'm wrong I just won't show the other person this thread

It's sloth but I say slothe because it has "slow" in it...

If it's the place in Scotland you're referring to, it's pronounced 'skoon'.

If a letter E is on the end of a word ( separated from a vowel by one consonant ) the the vowel takes the hard sound

so Sc-own
