Scoob WRX Wagon

You'll buy an Impreza, but not a Forester?

A Forester is an Impreza with a different body, the extra height is offset by the low mounted engine, so in the real world, you don't lose anything, a remap and it's up to around STi level bhp

It still holds the road just as well, and due to the low mounted engine, handles nothing like a car of that height and size does, it handles like an Impreza, it's the true Impreza estate, like others have said, the current Impreza estate is not much more than a hatchback

SUVs are really not my thing.
The Forester looks good for what it is, but it's just not for me.

Fair enough but tbh they're not really an SUV, more of a big station wagon especially if you stick a set of Impreza Sti struts and springs on it ;)

Yes, as the Impreza is what I want.

Yes I know that, but it's a body that I don't particularly like.
As previously stated, SUVs aren't my thing.

I love american SUV's I have been and tried a few Chevrolet Suburbans and Tahoe's I wish I was in the usa :(

I would go for the wrx wagon myself.

I know the Impreza is no object of beauty, but the Forester (IMO) is pretty vile. But then I hate blobby SUV/Softroader looking things.

Here's mine, more Impreza estate than SUV imo.. :p

Christ no, i've seen the pics and cannot stand the 08 hatchback. For me, as things stand right now, it'll be a 2006/2007 model. :)

So, no horror stories then?
Has anyone else had a similar oil consumption issue to Cyber-Mav?

Might want to check out nasioc.com - more info than you could ever need on scoobs in the states..

Excellent, thank you.

I also want to add that your Forester is by far the best looking example I have ever seen.

Drives just like the saloon, very "planted" and plenty of grunt. I must admit the UK car (MY99) I tried felt substantially down on power after trying a Japanese import.

You and I will meet soon, will let you take my scoob out for a spin :D
its not too much down on power
