The Bottom mobo looks mighty fine.

Damn you, now im going to have to get it to match my zotac 448.

Matte Black theme, is there anything better?

Pretty Gigabyte Boards!

Question for the customers!
Any news on whether or not these will support the new Ivy Bridge CPUs that are around the corner??

Really tempted by the bottom one... but trying to hold off upgrading a little longer as I really don't need to yet :S

I got the UD3H on launch day (it was the first Gigabyte Z68 board with monitor output(s) - the others were basically P67 boards with a new chipset), and couldn't be happier with it. It's the heaviest mobo I've ever used, ie no flexing/creaking, and rock solid in both senses of the word. Mine is "only" Rev 1.0, so no PCIE 3, but this is not an issue IMHO, at least not with my MSI 6870 Hawk.

The only minor drawbacks are :
7-phase VRM - not good for serious OCers, but I'm happy with 2500K @ 4.5GHz on air 24/7
No UEFI BIOS - after the first few days of setup/tinkering, I haven't touched the BIOS again, so no big deal. Is using arrow keys really that hard?

As for IvyBridge, the latest BIOS (F11) adds "Support Intel 22nm CPU E1 stepping", which I guess means "Will support IvyBridge" :

If not, I can't see me needing to upgrade the 2500K for a few years anyway.

Conclusion : I'd thoroughly recommend this board to all but the most extreme OCers out there (who probably wouldn't consider a sub-£250 mobo anyway). Few Z68 mobos have VGA + DVI + HDMI + DP, the onboard sound is very good too, forget the UEFI debate unless you change the BIOS daily, and realise that the black/grey awesomeness is NOT just skin deep, it's solid win. Great price from OcUK too.

So these already support IB, but will later boards come out that are better for IB? Maybe clock better or add more features that make use of new IB features?
