Wouldn't SA need to lose to Scotland and the USA to put Japan through? Scotland, maybe. Can't see them losing to the Yanks.

Would have loved to see a fresh Japan take on Scotland. 3 day turnaround just wasn't a fair playing field for a tier 2 nation with a small pool of players. They were leading going into the second half until they ran out of gas and the Scots put 5 tries past them.

Japan still very much in it I think, but they do need good bonus point wins to realistically have a hope.
