scott voltage YZ1 worth it?

Hi

I've recently been looking at getting a new bike and set myself a modest budget of £400 pounds. I popped in to one of the local small dealers and they got a second hand Scott voltage for £350 thats been customised by the previous owner. Its now have 27 shimano relex gears levers and disc breaks all round (not sure if that comes as standard).

The bikes hardly been touched, but the worrying factor is that it it has "project octane" stickers on the frame, so can some uber bike guru clear this up for me? but for £350 is it worth it?

Brand new, they are about 300 (2007 model) so, second hand (even with upgraded brakes) i would say look for something else. You can easily get a good bike with full disc brakes brand new for that price.
Is it a dirt jump bike your looking for?

thanks for the advance. I.m not really looking for a dirt bike as i'll be spending most of the time on country roads. I would just like something with front shocks, rear disc brakes, index gears and an alloy frame.
