Has anyone done a quickie divorce in Scotland? Looking at the forms it seems its only £90 for the court fees, is that all there is?

Separation agreement has been done and we have been separated for nearly 3 years, everything is financially split already.

Im really looking for answers from people who may have done this already, lawyers not needed any more so no need to speak with another.

Although you have 'financially split/shared' everythign.. in England (not sure on Scotland) you have to have that done in court as well, otherwise years down the line she or you could come into cash and the other person still have a claim on it.

Not sure whati ts all officially called, but get the financially side of things officially finanlised or it will bite you in the bum. A simple divorce does not take that into consideration.

Everything is split legally via agreement.

I did it quite recently after being legally separated for about 6 years, I think it cost me about £200 all in as my lawyer took a "nominal" fee.

I'm not sure if you have to use a lawyer but I thought it was safer as I don't have any contact with that viper any longer. He did all the contacting, you will need her to sign some stuff even though she has no real say in the matter. Make sure you have the marriage certificate though, I lost mine & had to have another one made.....more cost.

I'm feeling emotional this morning. I can't help with your question but I hope this works out for you both.
