Scrambled eggs

Agreed. Frying = fried, micro = scrambled :)

"Scrambled" just refers to them being stirred up (or scrambled) before you cook them, it's got nothing to do with the actual method of cooking. Scrambled eggs are scrambled eggs whether you cook them in the microwave or a pan.

MMMMM :D

Scrambled Eggs for one:

3 Large eggs,
Ground Black Pepper,
2 Teaspoons of Marmite,
~200ML of Milk.

Whisk eggs, pepper, marmite and milk vigorously.

Gently heat a frying pan, greased with a knob of butter, pour mixture in slowly, whilst stirring clockwise with a wooden spoon. Keep stirring until the eggs begin to form solidly.

Enjoy on toast!

I find that i make MUCH better scrambled egg in the microwave. Its also fast and easy. I think people are just slating the microwave method because they think its the cool thing to do.

Microwaves suck for lots of things yes thats true. But for scrambled egg its perfect every time.

And in a saucepan like how it's meant to be done? - ie no frying pan and certainly no microwave!

The only difference between a saucepan and a frying pan is the sides of the pan, you're still frying it

I'm always open to suggestions regarding cooking. I shall try the microwave next time I have scrambled eggs. I'm not budgeing on the marmite tho!

100ml milk, 3 eggs, + pot ***. Microwave eggs test like everything else you microwave, the juicyness of the eggs is evaporated

only if you over cook them, they can be as moist as pan fried, i cant understand how u can think otherwise. Its the heat that causes moisture to evaporate. So the pan will do exactly the same if u leave it too long.

I've just put a large dish of bread and butter pudding in the oven.

Jam and raisen center mmmmmmm

Edit: Non of my housemates know what bread and butter pudding is.... Shocking!

I always make mine in the micro and my mum, who to me is the master of all things to do with cooking, says scrambled eggs are best in the micro. I'll go with what she says :p

Same for porridge, dont bash the micro's.

Even if they're moist how can you get the same texture as pan cooked?
You need to keep stirring to get the right texture surely?

I'd have thought you'd just end up with large manky chunks of egg if you do it in the microwave.

1 min in microwave
Take out wisk
1 min in microwave
wisk
eat

Perfect
So, you break up the pieces of cooked egg with the whisk then?
If so, that's not scrambled eggs - that's broken cooked egg.
Scrambling in a pan produces a completely different texture if done properly.
