Scrambled eggs

Even if they're moist how can you get the same texture as pan cooked?
You need to keep stirring to get the right texture surely?

I'd have thought you'd just end up with large manky chunks of egg if you do it in the microwave.

I set them off for a minute or so, Open the door, mix em up a bit with a fork, then set em off again. Do this maybe once or twice and the egg comes out perfect and fluffy :)

its not hard to stick it in mic heat for 10 sec stir heat for 10 secs and stir they cook with same texture coz tried both ways its just quicker and less washing up easy :)

So, you break up the pieces of cooked egg with the whisk then?
If so, that's not scrambled eggs - that's broken cooked egg.
Scrambling in a pan produces a completely different texture if done properly.

It's a case of getting the heat and time right. If done properly it's almost identical to scrabled egg from the pan. I prefer pan egg but I usually dont have time for that in the morning.

If you want to do it quickly, wisk the mixture in the serving bowl you are going to eat from. Only one dish to wash and it's done in under 3 mins

Scrambled eggs shouldn't be fluffy - they should be creamy and silky.
As I said in my last post, if you get bits of cooked egg that you have to break up it's not proper scrambled egg.

3 eggs,
some grated cheese
in bowel
wisk till all mixed
put a bit of butter in a heated (but not too hot) frying pan
add egg mix
keep it moving with a spatula and make sure it doesn't stick
use a low heat at all times, take your time and don't rush them
use fresh eggs (laid today if pos, I get mine from guy over the road)

see i think where you go wrong with micro is you bung the mixture in the mic and stick it on for 2 min leave it and then it come out like some sort of rubber sponge my mum does it this way not nice. where as if you give it your attention and keep stirring every few secs you'll find comes out with the same texture as a pan yummy

Ive always made my scrambled egg so its kinda lumpy and light, i dunno how to explain but i get the same from microwave as i do from a pan.

I fry mine and i dont use milk

Whisk two eggs in bowl throw in pan mess up with spachelor!

Yup same way i do mine, dont use milk at all as well. Just 3 eggs in a bowl with some salt thrown in..whip it up..pour into a frying pan with olive oil and thats it.

My sis in law one time made it in a microwave and i threw up..not because it wasnt cooked...it just tasted like crap...

I was going to slate the OP for being a "scrambled egg noob" but now im going to have some for lunch.

I will be microwaving them for many reasons.

Less cleaning up, faster, less hastle, almost perfect texture.

Its probably one of the only things i use microwaves for along with, cooking frozen veg ( i like it crispy) Heating beans and semi cold cups of coffee.

:O
