scrap that idea, please delete.

the guy just messaged me to say its actually a 970 not a 980, i always wanted a 970, but i dont know how much better one would be over the 1050ti to warrant the cost, id rather just have the i7 in my computer if the overall wasnt worth it, i dont need the drives or the screen, it was just the fact they said its an i7 and a gtx980 which is why i got interested.

for example i could go to that lovely 2nd hand shop and pay 80 for the same processor or from somewhere else im sure for that price and an 1155 m-atx board for about £20 + new case to fit it ha, so in theory i could likely get just the parts for less than £150 minus 970 as i have ram and drives and a screen, so now i think about it, i question that computer even more.

Sure it’s looks good value for money.

But On the other hand tho you could have put that money towards a new generation of cpu/motherboard.

i dont know about windows, id have thought so if hard drives were included as he said he needs to wipe them first.

i havent technically got 300 to spend, its part of savings(ie last bit of wages from my job up north) for actual importance, but i wouldve stretched if it was worth it and meant stop faffing around with my 1st gen and sold what i have to recoup, but i have seen builds with i5 4460 for much less whether they have a gpu or not which would do the job nicely, i just wanted to know if it seemed a good deal, i guess if it was a 980 then yeah as they sell over 200 still.

trouble is when i asked the guy about when the other person interested was to view it, they said its mine if i give him the 300 meaning he got offered a lower amount and i dont know what wouldve been a good offer to make if it meant money saving.

that is what i was thinking, the ideal ryzen parts from here came to just over £300 and that was using a B gaming board, its under £250 if i use an A series, but those are just parts along with a m-atx case that be needed, i have been stressing myself out trying to find a haswell or some i5 itx bundle for less than £150 before i have to give up and buy a bigger cube, i only wanted that tower because it has and i7 and assumption of the 980, the case is too big for my liking.
