Scrapheap Challenge!

The early series of Scrapheap were really entertaining stuff.

Great episode, but it was never the same after she left. :(

Agreed, she seemed to actually be interested in what they were making. Lisa seemed like she didn't give a crap and just wanted to go home :p.

The first presenter was also one of the producers of the show. She moved to LA and then presented a few seasons of the US show.

It's a shame great shows like this seem to just disappear unless they get proper DVD releases, thankfully a lot of them seem to be available from....less legal places.

Oh many a happy Sunday I sat watched Scrapheap Challenge and was made all the more enjoyable whenever the bro-in-law was on it and I could take the P outta him :D

Really low res and hardcoded swedish subs though :(. Also can't seem to find them all.

Was hoping there would be a full DVD boxset for sale. I'm sure if they made one it would sell well.

She essentially created the show (Cathy Rogers).

I always thought it was fake (i.e. all the machines are worked out beforehand and the parts put there). So it's all real then? Quite impressive tbh.

Strange first post :D

It wasn't fake, I have seen people post pics and diaries online, about their day at scrapheap. Although they did hide working engines and propellers etc in with the junk, to make it a bit easier. But it was still pretty impressive what they came up with sometimes.

Oh and welcome!

Anyone remember that team of estate agents who fluked their way to the final and were challenged to build a tank?
2 day build, some chap spent about 16 of the twenty build hours manufacturing the caterpillar tracks and then it went a bout 2 meters before the clutch blew out because it was so heavy.

Some episodes were a little bit dodgy but still so very enjoyable to watch :)

Annoyed! they cancel all the best tv shows,

Scrapheap and Robot Wars were awesome

Cannot agree with you more. I grew up watching both, and now theyre gone, I love it when they repeat episodes brings back so many memories
