Took my Xbox around a mates to play some multiplayer, i did have the console stood up but it seemed unstable so i lay it flat, shortly after a grinding noise came from it and the DVD got scratched pretty badly.

I have spoke to Game who mentioned a disk resurfacing machine they have. But this is going to take a while to get sorted i assume (especially over Xmas).

Anyone have experience of a similar situation, or advice.

The game plays multiplayer ok some of the time but i can't continue with my veteran career, was really getting into it aswell.

Cheers

We did the same thing at work. 360's now come with a sticky label telling you not to it. However, if you get a scratch fixer kit, it will fix it, but only if the damage is not too bad. To be honest, it is done to luck.

If you contact the makers of the game most of them offer a replacment service for damaged disks.

They do charge you but it is normally only £10 or so.

Look in the back of the game manual and the details should be there
