Scratch remover - which one?

Hi guys can you recommend a decent scratch remover please? There seems to be any number of products but which is best? Thanks

All depends how deep the scratch is. General rule of thumb we use at work is if you can feel the scratch with your nail then no amount of hand polishing will take it out.

Not that I've used it, but I have heard that Meguiers Scratch X 2 is good.

I've used Meguiars Scratch X, the original one not the new v2 one and it worked quite well but needed a lot of elbow grease to get them removed, would recommend doing it with a machine!

Glass? Interior plastic? Exterior plastic? Trim? Lacquer?

Sandpaper and beer. About P30 should do just fine.

tcut is horrible stuff if your trying to remove a scratch as all you end up with are swirl marks as its that course and grainy

Thanks for the replies. It's a scratch on the paintwork but not that deep so will give Meguiers Scratch X a look

well if you dont know what your doing then yeah, tcut is quite high on the abrasive scale, but its 10x better than messing around for 20 minutes with scratchx

I'd rather spend 20 minutes and not have the nasty swirls you can get with TCut.

Much harder to make a mess with something less abrasive.

You use a milder compound to polish out the t cut swirls.
