I've got a couple of patches on my car where birds have done their business and removing has left behind marks and light scratches

I've tried black t-cut and that's made no difference

Is there any recommendations for what I can use that would cover up marks in the paint?

I've got a black Audi A5 so being black, the marks show up

Thanks

Buffing machine will polish that out buy one (good future investment) or get a mobile repair tech to come fix for you!
I'd skip the buffing machine and get a DA polisher, a single stage cutting polish and some cutting pads. I use Meguairs microfiber with good results.

Sorry for the slight hijack Mark, I have some scratches in the glass on the windscreen, right in my line of sight too. Any products that can work on glass? They're not very deep.

Jewellers rouge is about the only option for glass, but it'll take a lot of work to make any difference. (Same as polishing scratches out of a glass watch front)

I'd try G3 Pro Paint Renovator.

It's a single stage liquid, so the abrasives reduce as you keep polishing to cut, then polish in one go.. and it's designed to be used by hand..

However, if they are too much, then you can try the G3 Pro Scratch Remover, that is more abrasive, but then I use the Paint Renovator after to get a nice polish.

I have these around for when I don't want to get the DA out or the area is too fiddly and actually work really well.. the Pro Scratch Remover / Paint Renovator combo work well together and the results by hand are pretty good, just lots of elbow grease!

agree that's the problem with DA's (like pressure washers) the time to get them out, mask areas, cleanup of pads, splatter, and fiddly for A/B/C pillars.

not sure if D/A can work there, I've polished (albeit softer) stainless steel, but, want to try it on headlight glass ... likes of rainX might fill scratches ?
