scratched connector a problem?

Would this scratch on a memory module's connector be of any concerns for long term use or affect the motherboard in any way (short-circuit and the like)?

Probably not, hard to see that well. Generally if it's just a surface scratch but the conductor is still there, it'll be ok. Just make sure no metal shavings are bridging to nearby conductors.
