Scratches Reccomendation

Looks like some cat has sat on my roof and put a few scratches into it, what's the best way to remove the scratches ? They arn't deep, so should be able to be removed ?

Black metallic paint.

I had a go with Meguiars Scratch-X yesterday, but didn't find it helped much if at all. I think I needed more elbow grease though.

Polish > Paint restorer > T-cut

T-Cut then Meq scratch x, to remove swirl marks T Cut leaves, then polish.

Don't think you can T-cut a metallic can you???

You can get T Cut for metallic paint.

I popped into Halford's earlier. Gave the car a good wash, so looking really nice though, it's just so depressing watching all the little nicks that the car's pick up that you don't notice. Scratch X did quite well, though not all gone, but well enough !

Pop over to http://www.detailingworld.co.uk and see if there's anyone local with a PC7424 who might go over your car for you.

Thanks Eid, I think I might be investing in one of those my self soon any ways, so will give it a going over.

Though i'd be very interested as I know how well you clean your car, if you were to stick up a guide on how exactly you do it, and how to get the same results

turtle wax (makers of t-cut), also make a 'safe-cut' for metallics

Yep, it's Steve (the Philz bit is from my surname. Just add the year I was born (75) and @hotmail.com and you've got my email addy
