Put peanut butter in one and a wine gum in the other and see if it has a preference to either. Wine gums work best, because the trap is more likely to trigger as they tug at the gum while eating it.

They came ready to go, put a couple up there.
Id have thought I'd we had a mouse rat problem, we'd see them in the garage first where we keep a lot of food.
