Screeching gpu

Hello,

Right Never had this thing happen to me before so I'm totally unsure on this.

My card is screeching loud as hell during games, mild humming when idle.

Does anyone have any idea on what possibly could be happening to this card.

The screeching/humming occurs both when the fan is on and off.

Cant hear anything in the vid bud....sorry.........

But its more than likely coil whine. Only really happens when the card is under load and some do it more than others.

Yeah vid kinda sucks ^^ I cant even hear it unless I have headphones on O.o

Hmm, how can it be coil whine if it screeches while the fans are off?

Don't they need to be on first?

Coil whine is an electrical sound not mechanical, what card is it?

Aha! well, guess there's not much I can do then It's the Plait 970 Jet.

Download the Heaven benchmark and loop it for a few hours, it's been known to settle it down in some cases.
