screen flicker

vista 64 seems to like turning my monitor off every now and again. it's not going into standyby, it just goes off for a second or two, then comes back on. usually just after start up, when the machine's loaded. and at various random points through the day.

anyone know a fix or something for this??

Do you get a message in the taskbar about "the display driver has stopped responding and has recovered"? If you do then its either the nvidia drivers, or your gpu is clocked too high.

nope nothing like that.

i read a fix for it, but promptly forgot it. it's something to do with windows looking for another screen bar the primary output device.

gpu is running at standard.
