Just noticed I have a few small scratches on my 60Ds screen (nothing major) but this led me to wonder wether it would be worth getting a screen protector for it. Do you guys use them?

Cheers

I've got one for my d3100, fits perfectly edge to edge, can't tell it's on there and protects the screen. All for £3, mad not to really

One of the first things I did when I got my 5D mk ii was get a screen protector on it. Don't even notice its there and its extremely scratch resistant. Also cost around £3.

Thanks for the feedback, have not ordered one. The only reason I was put off was because I had ordered some in the past for my iPod that had messed with the colours / been really reflective making it hard to see the screen but I have just ordered one from Amazon with good reviews so hopefully it will fit the bill :)

I've never bothered. With the 60D's swivel screen I can't imagine how I'd actually scratch it, I suppose I'm more careful than some as even my 300D and 30D to this day don't have a single mark, and my sister has them now.

Don't bother. On Canon cameras, the bit you can touch *is* the screen protector. You can buy a replacement for about a tenner.

Rather spend £2.99 on a glass protector than £10? sure they were more like £20 for the canon part.

why dont canon use a thin layer of glass instead of plastic?

for the cheap price they cost why wouldnt you fit one

I've honestly never felt the need.

My camera is a tool and is used as one.

Using it with common sense goes miles, I've taken over 30 thousand photos now and there isn't a mark on the screen, but then again I've never rested it on barbed wire :p
