Hi all,
I'm looking at getting a new laptop, however I'm a bit concerned about screen resolution.
I after a laptop between 13-14", no bigger or smaller. And I'd like a resolution of at least 1600x900. However, I was wondering what peoples experiences are with laptops up to 1920x1080 on 14" screens?
Dell Business Outlet has a number of Latitude laptops on offer with resolutions up to 1920x1080. The Latitude E7440 looks great and would be the form factor and spec I'm after, however I'm concerned that the 1920x1080 screen would make text to small.
I realise Windows 7 has dpi scaling, so you could just up that a bit and zoom Chrome in to about 125%, however I've read that dpi scaling can cause some applications to look odd.
Windows 8 is apparently better, but I don't really want to go with it until the official start menu is implemented.
Can anyone comment on 1920x1080 on 13-14" screens? 1600x900 seems good for 14", and the Outlet has the Latitude E5440 and E6440 available, although they are a bit chunkier than what I would like.
Thanks!
