Press your print screen button, and then paste into paint... Or am I missing something?

1) Press PrtSc key (above Insert in the middle section of your keyboard)
2) Run PAINT
3) Press CTRL-V

The print screen button on your keyboard, then paste into paint. Or, use something like ZScreen or Greenshot

I've just been laying my monitor on my scanner and scanning it but I'd be curious to know if there's a quicker way.

Win 7 has the snipping tool.

Mac - CMD + Shift + 3 (for whole screen), or 4 for selection.

Asus p5q Deluxe doesn't support screenshots I'm afraid.

1) press prt scn, it's near scroll lock.
2) use program like paint.net and select paste
3) select image size and change to ~600-800pixels width
4) select save as and then select jpg
5) upload to something like imageshack.us
6) post links wrapped in [ img][ /img] without the spaces.

OP -
If you haven't got Win7 then this is a nice little prog.
Unzip it, run the EXE file and then to execute it you press CTRL-SHIFT-P and it gives you a crosshair where you can draw a rectangle around what you want to capture.
We all use this at work.

PrtScreen - sometimes combination of keys if on a laptop - usually it's in a different colour if you need to press a function key - like blue text on a Thinkpad...
