Hi,
somehow pc FREEZES when Vista is loaded and programs... and straight freezing.
I had to push "restart" button to re-load windows!

It is only when OC'ed PC!
thing is that Never had this problem before, and pc was stable with OC!
all same settings where used.

It started couple of days before, I set CPU to default, now trying use to OC again, and same thing!

someone can help?

How much of an overclock are we talking? It might be worth cleaning your heatsink and reapplying thermal paste

E8500 4GHZ!

Erm, I do not think it can be issue with cleaning, as I clean pc at least once in 10 days, so it is never dusty, etc.

Forgot to mention:
used to have OCZ Platinum, now swaped to KINGSTON HYPER!
but anyway, did not have a problem for 2 weeks, also I played with MEM SET, tried different timings!

Im getting this issue too, and it is completely unrepeatable. Appears to happen at random and just doesnt make sense.

I have exact specs as you other than 8400 (at 4ghz) and the graphics card (ATI). I am putting 2.12v through the same memory on the same motherboard as you, taking in to conderation the 0.08v it applies to the memory itself.

I did up the VTT to 1.3 from 1.28 the other day and have yet to have the same screen freeze, so maybe try upping that :)

well as per sods law, the screen promptly froze about 2 minutes after I posted that.

upped the memory to 2.14v to see if that cures it.

Ive had this overclock Orthos stable for well over 30 hours! If it happens again though, I guess that is the only other thing to try :)

Thanks

Hi, can it be KINGSTON issue?
as I never had it with OCZ PLATINUM...

You may of hit the nail on the head , put your OZC back in see if you get the same fault.

Well after a few days of no freezes and thinking to myself I'd fixed the issue.....bam :(

Ram and VTT back down to what I had them stable at, and now tried upping the Vcore as suggested above :/
