Screensavers

Hi there,

When I am doing some Video Encoding/Decoding in AutoGK I leave my computer on and it goes into Screensaver mode.

Will it still be processing and encoding/decoding at the same speed as if it wasn't in screensaver mode? ie at 100% CPU usage?

It depends on your screensaver, some screen savers can use a fair bit of CPU processing power.

Especially if its a DX9/DX10 screenie!

What I mean is - will the CPU still be at 100% during the Screensaver?

As in will AutoGK use (100% - Screensaver Usage) of the CPU?

I expect the screensaver will use a bit of CPU power but not much...Maybe 5-10%

You could always disable your screensaver and adjust the power options in control panel to turn your monitor off instead which will mean the encoding still gets 100%.
