Screw mod

Its a never ending circle of doom if you dare to unleash the powah!

306DT --> Screw Mod --> Powahhh!!!11 ---> Bits fall off --> Less weight ---> ULTIMATE POWAHHHH!!!11112

has anyone in here actually done the screw mod and reported any benefits/drawbacks?

or as usual is everyone just regurgitating someone elses opinion that they heard in here without any actual knowledge/experience of the subject?

OMG THINK OF THE CHILDREN....oh sorry, wrong thread
/yawn

Yeah, I done it.

Didn't adjust the fuel though, just the wastegate and the boost compensator.

I think the wastegate thing I did made it slower because I didn't adjust the fueling but the boost compensator screw made a massive difference to the way it drove. It was quicker more instant power before the turbo was fully spooled up.

Somebody did a thread with pictures and instructions and he had something like 10 bhp gain I think ? It was mostly more responsive

i have done "the screw mod" to both my td nova (1.5) and TD astra (1.7) with verry good results from the nova and so far good with the astra but i havent finished with the astra yet so will see.
aparently the 306 came with 2 different turbos and 2 different fuel pumps, the 'kkk' turbo isent as good as the garret on the 306, but i havent read THAT far into it, becouse i dont have one, just breifley had a look.
