Scuffed my Bumper on a wall whilst arsing about letting people out of the "car park" at work. Was moving back worried that the girl in front was going to reverse into the front of me and I subsequently brushed the wall whilst reversing.

Big fail on my part i know but I was wondering what you guys would advise on getting this patched up. Would love to be able to make it at least a bit neater before i take it somewhere in the new year. I have a touch up paint pot for the car, but don't know what the best way to get a decent finish is?

Cheers

Try a local smart repair place

They will be able to polish out the parts where its just scuffed, and repaint the parts where its taken all the paint off.

Some of them can be very good, but wont ultimately be as good as bumper repsray which will be about £125 ish.

You could probably polish out the white scuffs and make it look a bit tidier, but it's where it's gone through to the black plastic that'll show up.

In reality, you're looking at a full bumper respray.

hm, well apparantly our local chips away guy is very good. i know that they get mixed reviews but i've heard it comes down to the bloke's skill really and i have heard nothing but good things from the one nearest us.

worth a try you reckon?

I'm a bit reluctant to get a full bumper re-spray as it only effects about an 8th of the whole bumper! however i am under no illusion that would probably give the best results.
