Of course there are scum everywhere but an interesting little story my mate has just rang me about.

He had a phone call today from his mothers bank saying she was overdrawn by £410 and because of (something or other) it would have to be paid back.
He asked when the last transactions were and they were Dec 11th when two withdrawals were made at 6pm and 6:10pm from a shopping centre in Kidsgrove.
He told them it was impossible because his Mother had died on the 11th at 2pm in the afternoon.
According to the cops somebody must have got the pin number out of her before she died so its still ongoing.
Of course my mate his blaming himself for not emptying her bag one week earlier when she was admitted but he was in a stste himself.

They'll know which machine it was, at what time. So can check the CCTV from then, down the street even.

Shopping Centre? in Kidsgrove?

Your very much mistaken! Kidsgrove has no such shopping centre!

I live in kidsgrove. ;)

Sorry to hear of whats happened, tell the bank where to go, its a fraud issue, and as such its not down to you to sort out.

Probably someone rifling through her handbag when she was in hospital.

I know a girl, Hayley, from Kidsgrove. Nothing to do with the thread, I just thought I'd say it.

How do you know it was necessarily someone related to the NHS?

I know it's awful, but it could just be a terrible coincidence.

My nan has been in hospital 3 times the last 2 years, each time she's had things stolen.

She even had £20 stolen when in a nursing home.

and why are you saying the NHS are scum?
it could be another patient, so called friend, or yeah it could be a member of staff but that does not make it the NHS.

my condolences though, hope you get the scum that did do this.

Sorry for both your loss and this problem. It's the last thing you need.

My thoughts are with you and your family, especially at this time

My thoughts too, heck it could also be a relative but god forbid we ever tar an entire group of people with a very sticky brush eh?:o

Sorry to hear about your mum, but it's a daft statement to make. It could be almost anyone who had access to your mum MONTHS before she passed.

1 - Its not my Mum
2 - His Mum was in a private room
3 - The cops have determined that it must be a member of staff.
4 - Happy New Year
