Hi all,

Before I buy an ssd foe a new system build, i wanted to know which would be the most reliable one to buy. I was thinking of the Intel-x25.

go for a sandforce based SSD or a Crucial C300, they're a bit better than Intel's offerings

What would be better? 2*64gb in raid 0 for £10 more or 1 128GB SSD?

1 128GB. Faster access speed and TRIM.

depends if that 128GB is actually a 120GB Revodrive or a 120GB Vertex 2E/Force

Revodrive offers same/better performance, Vertex 2E/Force offers trim

Overtime SSD's naturally slow down, TRIM is a command that helps resolve this issue, maintaining your drives performance. I wouldn't recommend buying a drive without it!

TRIM or 'garbage collection' are features to look for. Most current gen SSDs either support TRIM natively, or via firmware upgrades. TRIM is not support in RAID0 (AFAIK).

So it's stated, if you carefully look for it
