SE and SR Engine

Hey guys,

Very quick one if you can...What is the difference between an SE engine and and an SR engine?

Also, what do they both stand for?

Vauxhall have not had an SR trim level since the Nova!

The only Sr I know is from Nissans with the SR20DET and the ford Zetec SE engine.

Toyota corolla has a SR.. not sure about SE

What I mean is my mates car, he has a 1.6 Golf and on the engine it says SR, wondered what it meant?? Ive heard of SE - That is all

Also asking what they both stood for, as in the initials - more power ?? etc..

SR is the engine code, SE is a trim level
