new firmware fixed most of the issues such as crashing for me and speeded up the phone a fair bit
you will lose your txt messages tho
backup all contacts and stuff just in case
I left my memory card out during the process incase...

i liking this phone just about to update it, as the menu system does seem a little slower than the k800i.

My phone explorer is a must! download it if yu have not got it yet, best app for the SE phones.

having trouble getting the gmail java thing working though, anyone got any issues?

safe to post it's freeware, doing the full backup is such a great tool, as i once wiped my phone and used it recover in seconds!

doesnt the SEphone suite thing do the same ? i always just used that with my k800i sybced contacts with windows etc and could send texts

How is everyone finding the battery life? I'm just so used to my w810i lasting .... erm, actually I dont even know how long it lasts, I don't need to pay attention to it. Must be 6-7-8 days? I really don't want to go back to 1.5 days battery life.

good point i was just thinking that myself, the battery life seems quite poor to be i'm charging every other day at the min

5 - 6 days before I need to charge mine, which is about the same as my Samsung D900 was.

there's lot of things improved over my 880i, including the ability to 'resume' video playback, even after power off
speakers are tons better
