My parents took me to a very nice place not far off Tottenham Court Road a few years back. I'll see if I can figure out where that was.

It was Pescatori. 57 Charlotte Street.

You'll have difficulty beating Sheeky's, St. Martins Court, off St. Martins Lane, but Hix in Greenhills Rents, off Cowcross St., Smithfield was always good, but I've not been there for a while now.
Fish! in Borough Market is worth a try, as is Fish Market, New St., E.C.2.
Pescatori in Charlotte St, Fitzrovia is great for dinner, with excellent, well cooked food, but it can be a little noisy at lunch time, due to it being in the centre of the advertising media world, with everyone striving to talk over one another.

The only dedicated seafood place I've been to in London was the 'City' Loch Fyne , and it was lovely.

Yup. Loch Fyne is a favourite as the mrs is from the coast of france hence loves muscles.

Oddly enough the Spaghetti House, for a cheap place, does a nice pasta sea food.. the chilli langoustines are massive but yummmmm :)

Watching thread with interest!
