My 1.5TB Seagate with CC1G firmware recently failed. Luckily it was my backup drive which is in an external enclosure, so no hassle to take it out and get replaced.
Before I do get it replaced I want to try and get some updated firmware out of Seagate as I have heard of a few potential problems with the CC1G firmware.
Can someone confirm that there is later firmware? Have Seagate provided it?
Still no reply from Seagate after 24 hours
