seagate 10 hard drive 250gb?

I need a new ide hard drive as my small 20 gb samsung is just about full up.
What i would like to know is will the new seagate ide hard drive 10 with 250 gb 16mb cache work on my pc? If it does then will be ordering it later today from overclockers.

Yup, that should work no problem. Nice drive as well. What motherboard do you have? As if you have any SATA ports, it would be worth getting a SATA drive instead for future proofing sake.

I do not have any sata ports.
I was going to get the samsung 160gb ide hard drive until i looked at the seagate 250gb. The motherboard is a kt4av series.

yes thats the seagate i want and will be ordering it from oc.
Will have to wait while my brother can come down and fit it.

Word of warning.

Been using one of these the last week and it's on it's last legs already and is being RMAd as we speak.

Really irritated and quite gutted about that (you know how long it takes to fettle stuff on an install...)

It's probably just a one off - but worth mentioning...
