Seagate 320GB 7200.10 help!

Hi

I just built a new PC with a Seagate 320GB 7200.10 drive on a Gigabyte DS3 M/B.

Although it says 320GB in BIOS, Windows only sees it as 127GB. I have tried setting the SATA channels from legacy to native mode but it's made no difference.

Any ideas?

Which version of Windows? Pre-Service Pack 2 (SP2) can't see beyond 127GB (i.e. XP SP1, XP & older)

EDIT: Need to patch it to SP2 (see here)

Yep, it's Windows XP with no service pack. Thanks for the info I never knew that!
