Seagate 320GB Single Platter

Just fitted one of these today, these are my HD Tach results, pretty sure it's the fastest, or one of the fastest single drives around.

I got one today too and thats pretty much the same results as mine also mine is very quiet - cant hear it at all.

I would imagine they are higher density so yes, they've got 320 on a single platter.

I have the 250GB single platter too and I get around 83MB/s transfer speed, so yeah a fair bit faster.

Nice, looks a tiny bit quicker than the Samsung 320GB single platter drive except for the access times (my Samsung gets 13.3ms).

I was thinking of buying one of these rather than wait for the 320GB F1, but I had read about the high access time somewhere else... Bah, think I'll just go for the Seagate.

Has any tried an HD Tune error scan in these drives? I seem to get many errors
