Hi there I have a Seagate 7200.10 250Gb along with spec (see my sig). All is running well and I have no complaints although I ran HDtach yesterday (until then I didn't actually know this program existed :p). Now all seems fine except for the burst time. Now I'm sure the DS3 mobo is SATAII and this HDD seems to be running @ SATA1 (am I correct?) If so how can I make it run at SATA-II? What am I doing wrong? The HDD is set up as Master 0 and the optical drive is Master 4 seeing as its IDE. Now I know "if it ain't broke dont try to fix it" but I was just curious......

Thanks in advance

Kiz

EDIT here is a picture of HDtach just in case.....

Thanks for that dude removed the jumper and its a-ok :) Where the hell do I leave the little jumper now :p It seems that in my haste I don't look at these things :D

Just to help a little more, i left the jumper half-on the jumper pins so that it was only on one pin and then the other side was in a little recess in the drive. Saves me misplacing it :o

I've kept it but it's bound to go missing considering how tiny it is.
