seagate 80gb ide hard drive

hi ppl ive been getting quite a few blue screens latley and had trouble with booting up when win windows starts so i reformatted it with windows xp but after a week its staeted to blue screen again so i tested it with seagates software and its come up failed with 47 bad sectors is there any way to resolve this or should i return to ocuk for a replacment hard drive as its only 5 months old

its not worth trying to sort it, just get it replaced

I have a seagate, 60gb its pretty old about 3-4 years now..How can I check if I have any bad sectors etc...

Wheres the seagate software never recieved any with mine..

You dont get the software with the hard drives. You have to visit the manufacturers website and download it. You can download a floppy version or a CD version normally. Quite easy to do and good instructions on most manufacturers websites.
