Seagate buys Maxtor

So I guess that means that Maxtor will keep making harddisks and not disappear

I thought this was already known about. Seagate is simply using its business model and management style. No brand names or production methods will change. So for us the consumer, nothing much will change apart from maybe a slight drop in prices to due the increased economies of scale.
