Seagate Expansion 2TB

Hello,

Is there any truth to the "click of death" stories about the Seagate Expansion 2TB external Hard Drivers? If so, please share your experiences and suggest alternatives with capacities of 2TB and above outlining pros and cons of each. Budget is ideally £200 maximum but can be higher if justified; as usual - the lower the better.

Additionally, are 3TB hard drives due to become available soon?

I'll never touch a Seagate drive again.
2 drives I bought for personal use both discovered faults within 6 months.
At work a storage product we were developing was built on 12 enterprise class Seagate drives. We had 6 hardware platforms in total (6x12 drives) and we must have had at least 5 fail within the first 3 months.

I'm Western Digital or Samsung all the way now, but I'm sure others will have equally as bad stories about those too.
