Hello, i recently aquired a 300gb seagate external drive, it is about 3 years old but worked perfectly in a win xp system so i plugged it into my win7 64bit system and it worked great i transfered all my music and some of my files over,happy days.
when i booted up today the drive took about 5 mins to show up on my pc then only showed up as Local disc G were as it usually comes up as seadisc, when i click on the hdd a white box appears as its loading the hdd then it freezes and says i need to reformat the drive. Then when i try and reformat the drive it says this could not be completed, im stuck any help?
ps somtimes the drive doesnt show at all and has to be turned on and off a few time but still works ace on a winxp system first time?
