Seagate FreeAgent Xtreme Question!

Morning!
I'm wondering, as this has so many different connection capabilities is it possible to have this connected to two PC's at once, almost like NAS just not on the network?

Depends on the controller... most external drives only work on one connection at a time.

Just wondering if I'd break it because firewire has quite a lot of power.. enough to power the drive on its own, wouldn't like to double that and make it go bang

plus one PC would be running it at FW400 and the other at 800.

Starting to think it prob wont work.
